Omnitronix was appointed Veratron's distributor for South Africa and SADC in August 2026.
Veratron AG is a Swiss instrumentation manufacturer. The business began in 1972 inside VDO, developing gauges and senders for marine, powersports, automotive and industrial use, and took the Veratron name when it became independent. Development and production are run from Switzerland, with sites in the USA and Japan.
Omnitronix has distributed vehicle instrumentation and diagnostics in South Africa for years, and already carries the VDO range. Veratron sits alongside it: the same engineering lineage, aimed at boats, gensets and machines rather than the passenger car aftermarket.
What the appointment means in practice is local ordering, a landed price quoted in rand, and warranty handled here rather than through a European reseller.
