Veratron has extended what the OL43 does rather than releasing a new model. The update adds a dedicated wind screen with a layout you configure yourself, plus navigation data alongside the engine and tank pages the display already carried.
For a sailing boat that matters more than it sounds. It means one 4,3 inch display can cover engine data off NMEA 2000, tank levels, and wind and navigation, instead of a second instrument taking up console space and another run of cable.
Units delivered from now carry the features as standard. Anything already fitted can take the update, so a boat commissioned last season does not need new hardware. Omnitronix can supply the update file and talk an installer through it.
